Bioxcin Acnium Sebum Balancing Moisturizing Cream 50 ml

Acnium concentrated care cream is for people with rough or oily skin. It balances sebum, soothes the skin with the thermal water and reduces redness. It supports skin functions and is in particular anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, moisturizing, helps with anti-aging and reduces irritating properties.

It contains Niacinamide, which regulates the skin's sebum balance and provides a matte look, and Thermal Water that stimulates the skin's natural moisture-regulating mechanisms. Herbal extract has been clinically tested for skin roughness. The prepared formula has an effect that blocks the factors that cause the roughness of the skin.

What is sebum?

Sebum is an oily and waxy substance that sits on your skin. It is most often produced on your face or scalp, but it can also appear in other places on your body.

How sebum is formed is relatively simple. Sebum is secreted by the sebaceous glands on the surface of your skin. These glands are usually connected to hair follicles. Sebum is often mixed with lipids from skin cells and sweat from hair follicles. The bags then fill themselves up, pushing the sebum to the surface of your skin. This creates a waterproof layer over your skin.

The main purpose of sebum is to protect the skin and scalp from drying out and to increase resistance to external factors. From a cosmetic point of view, imbalances in sebum secretion can sometimes cause the skin and hair to appear greasy. When sebum disappears from the skin, it is destroyed by bacteria and unpleasant odors can develop that can cause acne.
